What tomorrow brings
Tomorrow will either lift the weight of the unknown or add to it. Tomorrow I will get the results of a test I hope will bring the clarity I've been seeking. Stay tuned. ...

What I ate today -breakfast
I am trying to get back my discipline before Ramadan, just one week away. So I'm going to play, "What I ate today". Because I know if others could see I would be embarrassed most days before today.
First off - Breakfast
We have a bowl with one banana and about a half cup of strawberries.

Raw Food Day 2
Raw Food, Who knew?
Ok, So I've decided to start slow, replacing one to two meals or all 2 if I'm feeling it. I commited myself last June to going fully raw cold turkey. Which worked at first, then I fell off into old habits (being a vegetarian not to bad). So I've been toying around with new recipes and watching some inspirational videos and so I'm back at it. This time I'm going to ease my way into it. At some point I will do @Rawvana's 7 day reset to Reset my body and mind then make out my meal plans with raw meals and not look back.
So far today:
I've had a bowl of fruit (mango, strawberries and blackberries) for breakfast. With a side of lime & strawberry infused (32oz) water.
Lunch:
I'm looking at a salad mixed greens (romaine, chard, & kale), mini bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and italian dressing.
Dinner:
I'm thinking Spaghetti squash (especially since DH already tried cutting into it SMH).
Wish me good health

Slacker
WOW I'm such a slacker, I am promising to do better.
I will try to keep up with my diet postings. Especially since I've made the decision to go FULLY RAW. Yes I said it Fully Raw. I bawked at my husband when he originally brought this up last year, but after the first 2 weeks I had lost 5 lbs and it was fun. However at this stage in my journey I have been exercising, but in logging my foods I've noticed I'm no where near the health wagon even though I'm a vegetarian I'm eating entirely TOO much processed foods.
This being said I declare today the start of my raw journey. I'm going to start with Kristina's 21 day challenge.

Lupus Awareness Month!!! Help solve this cruel mystery!
Help Solve the Cruel
Mystery of Lupus by Raising Awareness this May
Lupus is one of the cruelest, most mysterious diseases on earth -- an
unpredictable and misunderstood autoimmune disease that ravages different parts
of the body. Research shows lupus, which affects an estimated 1.5 million
Americans, is more pervasive and more severe than people think, and has an
impact that the public doesn’t realize.
May is Lupus Awareness Month and we can all do our part to raise
awareness of lupus and show support for those who suffer from its brutal
impact. The Lupus Foundation of America is urging the public to join them throughout
the month to educate others and improve public understanding of lupus -- an
important key to unlocking the mysteries of lupus.
The Lupus Foundation of America is working to energize the public and
ultimately Congress to devote serious resources to lupus research. Without sufficient funding, research studies to
find the causes of lupus and to discover new safe, tolerable and effective lupus
treatments will be delayed and the search for a cure will be seriously
impaired. You can go online to sign a
petition asking Congress to provide more money
for lupus research at lupus.org/petition.
The Lupus Foundation of America is also again asking the public to Put On Purple for lupus awareness by
wearing purple and telling people why they are showing their support for all
people affected by this disease. Put On
Purple DayTM will take place on Friday, May 17, 2013, and is one of many programs taking place
during May.
There are many other ways you can help raise
awareness of lupus during May. Lupus
Awareness Month activities include social media, online and grassroots
components and there are many tools available so everyone can get involved and
educate their communities.
The public can learn more about lupus and ways to get involved in
improving awareness of this devastating disease this May by visiting the Lupus
Foundation of America’s website at lupus.org.
Tools, free of charge, are available at lupus.org/awarenesskit.

What it is? or Isn't?
What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia remains an elusive disease. It is really a syndrome, or a collection of problems that share pain, sleep disturbance, fatigue, abdominal discomfort, and trouble concentrating. Others experienced list of other problems, but everybody shares the common experience of lost quality of life.
What are the symptoms of fibromyalgia?
In addition to pain, people with fibromyalgia could also have:
- Cognitive and memory problems (sometimes called “fibro fog”)
- Trouble sleeping
- Morning stiffness
- Headaches
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Painful menstrual periods
- Numbness or tingling of hands and feet
- Restless legs syndrome
- Temperature sensitivity
- Sensitivity to loud noises or bright lights
Fibromyalgia affects as many as 5 million Americans ages 18 and older. Most people with fibromyalgia are women (about 80 - 90 percent). However, men and children also can have the disorder. Most people are diagnosed during middle age.
How common is fibromyalgia? Who is mainly affected?
Fibromyalgia can occur by itself, but people with certain other diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other types of arthritis, may be more likely to have it. Individuals who have a close relative with fibromyalgia are more likely to develop it themselves.
