The Research and Content team at is looking for candidates who can fulfill the following roles.

1. Content Co-ordinator (One-Year Internship)

Job Description
To assist the Researcher by compiling research from a variety of resources for any kind of content-related project and to assist the Content team in co-ordinating incoming content submissions and ideas.
  • Compile clearly written, brief, and organized data for use in content delivery
  • Co-ordinate with contributors to manage incoming content submissions
  • Assist Head of Research & Content in liaising with contributors
  • Attend online Skype meetings with Research &Content team when required
Unpaid, voluntary position
1 year (approx. 7 hours a week)
Orientation meeting and software training
  • Improve research skills, explore range of sources and information related to the Ummah
  • Develop ability to work with a global online team using project management tools
  • Personal development opportunities through interaction with team members
  • Reference available upon successful completion of internship

2. Editor

Job Description
The editor is responsible for the review of content submissions and developing them in terms of quality and relevance.
  • Edit articles for substance and quality
  • Develop articles to be ready for publishing (incorporate SEO features, appropriate layout and formatting, etc.)
  • Brainstorm relevant and new topics for fans, and assign topics to appropriate contributors
  • Be able to meet tight and spur of the moment deadlines
  • Partake in online team meetings whenever scheduled
  • Support the Head of Research & Content in managing content
  • Take the place of Head of R&C in case of temporary or long term absence
  • Occasionally contribute personally written articles
  • Prepare or edit sales copy when required
